Screening and Hiring

Candidates for healthcare employment must successfully meet or pass the following requirements prior to employment. All initial and annual Joint Commission requirements are required.

Interview (in person)

Minimum 1 year of experience

Formal screening process with our Director of Clinical Services / Principals

Past employment verification

Extensive criminal background check

Drug Test (10 panel)

Annual Physical Annual PPD/TB test or signs and symptoms with chest X-ray if necessary

Nursing license verification in State of assignment

Titers (Measles-Mumps-Rubella, Rubeola, Varicella, Hep B vaccination/ declination)

Current BLS / CPR

Current specialty certification (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc) where required

Prefer 3 professional references (Require at least 1)

Education verification

Annual competency exam in specialty area(s) & skills checklist

Age Specific Evaluation

OSHA Exam Acumen Orientation (HIPAA, Fire Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens, Biological Threats, General Healthcare Safety, Elder Abuse)

All Acumen and Joint Commission required policies & procedures and competencies are reviewed annually including National Patient Safety Goals

Hospital Orientations (if applicable) – We are willing to orientate our staff with any required orientation materials our healthcare partners give us. We will work together with clients to meet Joint Commission requirements
